REEFreshments®: Live Blackworms (Lumbriculus variegatus) is an excellent feed for freshwater or saltwater fish. Our blackworms are highly nutritious and a great source of protein. They are particularly useful for feeding finicky fish (e.g., butterflyfish), as their squirming triggers a feeding response. They are also commonly used for conditioning fish for breeding, increasing egg production, hatch rates, and larval survival. Like our other REEFreshments® products, our Live Blackworms are aquacultured in our lab, eliminating the risk of adding unwanted hitchhikers or parasites that are commonly associated with blackworms acquired from outdoor pond farming.
